I can't believe I am a mother!
I am now a mother. I can't believe it myself!
Since schooling days, practically every single person who knew me, will go, "You are so motherly. You will make a good mother!".
I had no idea what that was all about. All I knew back then was, I get it all the time from every single person I know.
In fact my husband, (then friend/boyfriend) told me the same thing.
"You would make a great mother. Your future children are going to be very lucky to have a mother like you," he would say.
Back then, I didn't even know that he would be the father! ;)
Sometimes, I was perplexed by the comments. What exactly do these people mean?
I mean, I looked young just like the rest of the girls my age. I definitely dress young, not matronly!
Then, how come I kept on receiving comments that I look motherly?
My bestie Rozie, as I fondly call her, then, shed some light on this mystery.
"People say that to you a lot because you have a certain gentleness about you. A warm concern. A soft touch. That's motherly," she said to me one day.
I understood what they meant then.
This journey to motherhood has been nothing short of beautiful and I want to share it with the whole world, through my experience and my way of raising up my child.
