What was your baby's first solid food?
My little one just turned 6-months-old.
Naturally, I am exhilarated. I have achieved my goal of breastfeeding for 6 months and I am mentally prepared to face any challenges that comes with a having 6-month-old.
To tell the truth, thinking of what food to give her when she turns 6 months was all I used to think about, when she was slightly younger. When the time came for me to start feeding her solid food, I was so excited to enter the wonderful world of exploring solid food with my baby.
Entering the 6 month is a milestone for both babies and mummies. So, if you have reached the 6 month mark without any major disaster, give yourselves a pat on the back, mummies!
So, lets talk about what was the first solid food that I gave my baby. Its starts with the letter 'A'.
Yes, you guessed it! Like any other millennial parents, my husband and I decided to give Avocado to our baby as her first food. Why?

So, on the day my little one turned 6-months-old, I woke up early, took out the two Avocados that have been left on the counter to ripen, gave them a good wash, split them in half, scooped out its buttery meat and pulsed it in a baby blender until smooth.
I dished out some of the stuff into my baby's bowl and thinned it out with my breast milk until it reached a pretty runny consistency.
Here was how my Avocado puree looked like:
